Craft Coffee Has Arrived In Kolkata’s Salt Lake

Freshly roasted coffee from their own in-house roasting facility, as well as innovative beverages such as vegan fusion chocolate and coffee pairings, are available.

With a chill in the air and sunny, blue skies, winter is the greatest season in Kolkata. People prefer to escape the winter winds in nice, convivial cafés for hot cups of coffee at this time of year. Coffee has largely replaced the high tea culture that was previously so prevalent in Kolkata in the last five years. And the city has witnessed the opening of numerous new cafés providing every type of coffee conceivable. Craft Coffee in Salt Lake City is the newest addition to the cafe scene, with a 6,000-square-foot area dotted with handcrafted delights like ikat patterns, lights made by local artisans, and handcrafted crockery sourced from Khurja.

The courtyard and patio include lush green zones where you may enjoy the sunshine. Coffee connoisseurs, rejoice: their coffee is freshly roasted, robust, and originates from their own in-house roasting equipment. The coffee beans are supplied from southern Coorg and Chikmagalur farms.

Don't miss out on their handcrafted vegan fusion chocolate and coffee combination with their "Criollo" programme. The café also includes a gourmet shop where professional baristas may help you choose freshly roasted single-estate coffee beans that suit your palate and are ground to your exact requirements. Try their kombucha-inspired coffucha, a refreshing fermented beverage. Along with the coffee-based organic skincare line, you can also purchase bakery products and home brewing equipment.

Craft Coffee is more than just a café; the company bills itself as a coffee "experience centre," complete with a manual brewing counter where you may pick up bags of coffee powder mixed to your liking. They also have a location in Ballygunge where you can enjoy their trademark fusion coffee drinks, which are handmade and coupled with continental food and freshly baked goodies from an in-house bakery and confectionery. While the main bar serves their standard and specialty beverages, the manual brewing bar on the terrace provides an experience where customers can converse with the baristas while learning about coffee roasting and manual brewing methods such as syphon, pourover, Turkish, and French press, to mention a few.

They have also opened a 40-seat boutique cafe with a live kitchen in City Center 1 mall. and have plans to open several more in Kolkata and across India. Craft Coffee Experience Centre, FD Block, Salt Lake City.
