New Delhi: The Coffee Club, an Australian coffee company, is expanding into India, becoming the newest participant in India's food and beverage sector, which has seen a lot of activity recently.
The Coffee Club has appointed the CK Israni Group of New Delhi as its master franchisee in India. In the next three to five years, CK Israni intends to build 100 cafés under the Australian brand. "We're still deciding whether to start in Delhi or Mumbai," said Chandni Nath Israni, co-founder of CK Israni. "The Coffee Club is a mass-market brand, and we will begin opening stores next year."
According to its website, The Coffee Club has developed from its initial location in Brisbane in 1989 to become Australia's largest home-grown café network, with about 400 locations in nine countries. According to the corporation, it has over 40 million loyal clients. The Coffee Club is CK Israni's second F&B endeavour, after its collaboration with high-end French baker and sweet producer Laduree.
CK Israni now manages two Laduree locations in the National Capital Region (NCR), one in Khan Market and the other in Ambience Mall in Gurugram. Israni stated that her firm intends to establish seven additional Laduree locations by 2023.
In the last two years, India's coffee industry has experienced a comeback, with a slew of global and Indian businesses expanding their footprint across the nation. Starbucks, established in the United States, is quickly growing, and the Tata Starbucks joint venture announced the inauguration of its 307th outlet on Thursday in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
"Coffee is no longer simply an excuse to talk. It's almost a starter, a snack, and for some, a meal. "Previously, people didn't know the difference between a cappuccino and a latte," said Shriram PM Monga, co-founder of retail consultancy SRED. "Today's coffee enthusiasts are well-versed in coffee varieties, brews, and beans.
